Southland Industries Proposal Coordinator- Construction in Dulles, Virginia

POSITION SUMMARY

The Proposal Coordinator role is a career opportunity that will allow you to directly impact the success and growth of one of the nation's leading Design-Build firms. This person is responsible for managing the national prequalification process, including organizing and updating relevant information. This process involves a high degree of relationship building and collaboration with the business. The Proposal Coordinator will also partner with the Proposal Team to support the proposal process as a whole.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the national prequalification process, which includes:

  • Filling out prequalifications with company data. This can include confidential information and also requires maintaining signed NDA’s with clients.

  • Managing relationships with prequalification vendors, including billing and client connections.

  • Keeping up with prequalification renewal deadlines.

  • Maintaining relationships with applicable internal corporate groups, including compliance, safety, finance, HR, etc., to ensure up-to-date data.

  • Collaborate with the Proposal Team and Business Development Teams to support the proposal process and creation of other materials that relate to pursuits. This collateral can include:

  • Confidential Business Development plans (market-specific, divisional, experience focused, etc.)

  • Project experience lists

  • Resumes

  • Organization charts

  • Help maintain databases that house confidential prequalification and project data.

  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop and implement tools and procedures to ensure future project documentation is published and maintained according to company standards.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Four-year degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or applicable discipline preferred

  • 1-2 years’ experience in writing, editing and researching to prepare, print, and submit online technical documentation, including preparation of proposals

  • Experience in the AEC industry is preferred

  • Excellent time management and organization skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong competency in MS Office, Adobe Create Suite, Adobe InDesign, Asana, and Unanet
